Connecting with our Wisdom Within

Connecting with our wisdom within.

When things happen in life that are unexpected and difficult to deal with, we often look for answers... and for wisdom from other people and from various sources. We very rarely believe that we hold all the wisdom that we need and the answers within ourselves… but this is indeed so!

If you look at it like this.... We are connected to all the wisdom that there is and that there ever will be in our universe, and if we can access this, we have no need to look any further than within ourselves as we are born hardwired with this information!

The problem seems to be believing in ourselves, but if we can overcome this, conquer our mistrust of that which we know, then there's nothing that we can't accomplish simply by going deep within and accessing our own ancient wisdom.

To do this we need to be calm and relaxed, and probably in a meditative state.

By this I do not necessarily mean during a meditation, but simply to put ourselves into a calm state where our everyday problems are not intruding, and we can deeply connect with that which we really and truly know.

In our way, we know things that we do not know!  This appears to be a contradiction but in fact we have all the gathered information and wisdom from all of our races since time began,

It seems as if we are all connected to this and somehow even connected to the wisdom of things that have not yet happened yet… which... although I know this sounds bizarre, if you think that to some extent time is not linear, it does in fact makes sense that we can know everything all at once.

Many religions and philosophies have known this for a long long time, but we in the western world are only just beginning to connect to this way of thinking, and it does take some time and effort to get to grips with it.

The next time you need to make a decision or a choice, try going into our quiet still perhaps beautiful place (the garden?) Sitting quietly by yourself, closing your eyes and allowing your body to relax and your mind to float free… and see what answers come for you!

With blessings

Meditation is the practice of focusing the mind, often formalized into a specific routine. Meditation is usually recognized as a component of Eastern religions, originating in Vedic Hinduism. It encompasses any of a wide variety of spiritual practices which emphasize mental activity or quiescence. Meditation can also be used for personal development in a non-religious context, such as the exercises of Hatha yoga.

The English word meditation comes from the Latin meditatio, which originally indicated every type of physical or intellectual exercise, then later evolved into the more specific meaning

However, "meditation" in its modern sense also refers to a separate practice unrelated to Christian meditations. In the late nineteenth century, Theosophists adopted the word "meditation" to refer to various spiritual practices drawn from Hinduism, Buddhism, and other Eastern religions.

Meditation is usually defined as one of the following:

a state that is experienced when the mind dissolves and is free of all thoughts
focusing the mind on a single object (such as a religious statue, or one's breath, or a mantra)
a mental "opening up" to the divine, invoking the guidance of a higher power
reasoned analysis of religious teachings (such as impermanence, for Buddhists).

From the point of view of psychology, meditation can induce an altered state of consciousness. However, many religious people would challenge the assumption that such mental states (or any other visible result) are the "goal" of meditation. The goals of meditation are varied, and range from spiritual enlightenment, to the transformation of attitudes, to better cardiovascular health.
